Unusual Emotions You Probably Didn’t Know Already Have Names


The human emotion is a web of complexity – it is hard to comprehend most of the time especially that not all people have the same feelings or emotion. You have to understand emotions because it will serve as your fuel to keep going. If you saw Inside Out, you may believe that you understood all emotions. You have to know that it is just the tip of the iceberg.


Tiffany Watt Smith published a book The Book of Human Emotions that revealed more names for emotions you didn’t know what to call. She is a researcher at Queen Mary University of London’s Centre for the History of the Emotions. Smith revealed 154 additional names of emotions (apart from the major ones like anger, envy, disgust, happiness, fear, pride, lust, shame and sadness).

Now that you finally know the name of that emotion, you can now better understand and identify it. Here in Singapore, not all people are really showy of their emotions but no matter what happens, it is always good to be aware of the things inside of you.
